WEEK THREE POWER RANKINGS OR: HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE INJURY BOMB

I can't remember a season where the injury bomb (née bug) has been so impactful this early. Alas, for some, it's all about just riding it out.

I don't even want to mention the round one and two fantasy picks who have avoided the injury list thus far, so as to not to jinx them. Well, maybe just Jalen Hurts...I mean it's right in the name.

Anyways, on with the show! Time for the BOKU Week Three Power Rankings!

14) Daniel Jones' Diary (1-1, PR:13): I know, I know, here we go again. One step forward and one step back, but I'll save Don the trouble of touting his new board game, hitting stores just in time for the holidays!

13) Sam and the Mitchells (0-2, PR: 12)- The second running back situation is real murky here and now they're also singing 'dem Deebo Better Blues. They've scored the second fewest points thus far and now they're Deebo-less...it's not looking Purdy.

12) I spent money on this? (1-1, PR: 9)- The thing about this team is it seems like it will be up and down all season, which is why I guess they have Moody as their kicker?

11) Beats by Rhamondre (1-1, PR:14)- A big week two and now a week three matchup against Dark Mondays 2 which is a team without an active quarterback. The situation right now for Beats...

10) GTFeens (0-2, PR: 7)- Look, ya don't top a hundy in a week, ya gonna fall in the BOKU Week Three Power Rankings. But something's gotta give this week as they face another winless team, and they are favored to jump into the ol' "W" column.

9) Dark Mondays 2 (0-2, PR:6)- They're the biggest fallers over two weeks in the ranks, so ya, know, best at something, right?

Maybe they'll hit triple digits this week though, who knows?

8) Inglorious Staffords (1-1, PR:10)- Yes, a week two loss and not one that looked overly impressive, so why the move up? Well, week three looks like it could be a big one and quite possibly a turning point.

Plus, there were more teams that just kind of played worse and have worse projections going forward and projections never lie (whispers, "projections lie all the time).

7) Cobra Kyler (1-1, PR:11)- Putting up a good week whilst getting barely anything from Kirk and Dell? Seriously! Jags, get the Kirk the ball already.

6) Team Johnson (1-1, PR: 8)- Top score in week two and projected by Sleeper to be the top scoring team this week? Talk about a team on the rise! Good news is Greg and his talented receivers are staying humble and handling this with the utmost class.

I mean the team didn't start from the exact bottom, but there wasn't a song with the lyric, "started 8th from the top..." So, just deal with it.

5) jeleefish (1-1, PR:1)- The curse of being number one in the BOKU Week Three Power Rankings! strikes again! The #1 team is now 0-2 (I'm really good at this), but the good news for Jessica is the #5 team is now 2-0, soooo... she's got that going for her, which is nice.

4) Coach B5353 (2-0, PR: 4)- Second in points scored, pretty consistent thus far and sitting in first place, which is an okay prize, but I think they'd rather work to be number one in the BOKU Week Three Power Rankings, right? Regardless, if they keep doing what they're doing, they may hold the top spot in both! You all know which one is the real prize is though, right?

3) Hurts Carr Rental (2-0, PR: 5)- While this team Hurts so good, the best strategy thus far?

2) Weakened Warriors (2-0, PR: 3)- As their name foretold, they were weakened this past week with the loss of Pacheco. Are they weakened enough to fall from the ranks of the undefeated this weekend? Well, the running back room is a bit sketchy, but the Bowers that be look like they might be able to keep this team more than afloat.

1) Unnecessary Ruffians (1-1, PR: 2)- Okay, so, yes, I said it would not be a precedent that beating the #1 team in the PRs would earn that team the top spot in said PRs. This is still true, it just happened to be the case every week of the season, thus far, so deal with it. I can almost certainly guarantee a win over this team this week will not get that the team the top spot. While this team is not atop the standings and doesn't have the most points scored, it is the only team that has been top four in scoring in each of the first two weeks, Anyways, things are tight at the top of the PRs (as far as you know) so Alan best not get too comfy, we got a long way to go.

Alright, moving onto the SURGE Matchup of the Week, SURGE; Life's a Scream!

It's the Weakened Warriors taking on the Team jeeleefish! Will the jeleefish Chris God-win this matchup and tel-LaPorta the Weakened Warriors out of the ranks of the unbeaten? Well, this could come down to a classic QB2 matchup of Sam Darnold vs Baker Mayfield...who would've thunk?! As I've been saying for...minutes, now, let Mayfield, bake! I predict a close one, but think the undefeated Warriors head to 3-0.

That's all we got for this week, tune in next week, same Bat time, same Bat Channel!
